Responsible for providing project administrative support.   
Essential Functions:
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects.
  • Assist in project site inspections to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
  • Assist the Project Manager in construction, operations, and maintenance activities at project sites, including transporting of supplies and materials needed to conduct work.
  • Direct or participate in surveying to lay out installations and establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction.
  • Estimate quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
  • Provide technical advice regarding design, construction, or project modifications and structural repairs to management and workers, as appropriate.
  • Provide assistance with administrative functions in a timely, professional and consistent manner as directed by management.
  • Compile narrative or statistical information for input to standard reports as directed.
  • Assist management to check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes.
 Other Tasks:
  • Assist in preparing status reports on current contracts/projects.
  • Conduct business errands as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
 Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Must be enrolled and in good standing in an engineering program.
  • Must have a valid driver license

  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
  • Knowledge of office protocol and the ability to effectively work as a member of a team.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use computer hardware, electronic data base management, and related software.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use office equipment, i.e., computer, phones, copier, fax.
