Normal Work Hours and Days:  Regular work hours are typically 12 hours/day, seven days a week. Mandatory overtime based on nature of seasonal and remote camp project work.

Summary:
Under the direction of the Project Manager and Head Cook this position is responsible for performing housekeeping duties.

Essential Functions:
  • General housekeeping duties to include dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning, and sanitizing of bathrooms, offices, hallways, bedrooms, laundry, etc.
  • Assist with kitchen duties if necessary.
  • Making beds.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Promotes, establishes, and maintains a safe work environment for all employees and clients.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with a team.
  • Build and maintain good public relations with the client, residents, and co-workers.
  • Monitor and maintain a high level of safe and sanitary working conditions.

Other Tasks:
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function and preferably is able to perform other tasks satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. 

Education and/or Experience:
•ADEC Food Workers Card (required)
High school graduate or equivalent (required).
• Prior experience in housekeeping (preferred).
• Previous experience in camps and/or related area experiences (preferred).


Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong client/customer service skills.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to work effectively with a team.
• Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort.
• Ability to lift up to fifty pounds without assistance.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical requirements
• Must meet criminal history and background requirements
• Organized, reliable, and responsible.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products and/or willing to learn
